Remote Access

Most of the library electronic resources are also available off-campus. 

Who can access the service?

The remote access is allowed to Luiss Faculty, Luiss graduate and postgraduate students, and Luiss international students. To access the service, users must enter Luiss account credentials (e.g. students must enter 

Please note: for lost or forgotten credentials send a request to duplicate or reset them to (from a personal email address, attaching a copy of an identification document) or apply in person at the IT Services.

Which resources are available?

The service allows users even off-campus to access e-resources through University IP addresses.

The unavailability of some databases through the remote access is due to contractual clauses or technical settings.

E-journals and full text publications: more than 40,000 sources are available (search the Journal search or Summon discovery to find publication links)

How can I access this service?

Access from computers:

In order to access the service, users need to connect to the Internet and configure the browser as described below:


macOS (Safari is not recommended):

Please note: for those who connect to the Internet using internet keys or USB modems the configuration should be saved under the remote connection settings rather than under the LAN (Internet Explorer) settings.

Once configuration has been completed, a Luiss server authentication window will open upon clicking on a remotely accessible resource. Users must insert their user id and password provided by Luiss Help Desk.

In order to disable the proxy, you have to deselect the option in the last step of configuring your browser.

Access from mobile devices:

Remote access configuration is available exclusively through Wi-Fi connection, and not through 3G/4G networks.
