User education courses

The Library provides orientation assistance for bibliographic research strategies and electronic resources. During the year, user education sessions can be scheduled on request to acquire basic skills in using traditional and electronic resources, and to support students in writing papers or final thesis works.

Training initiatives:

  • The Luiss Library and its services: first orientation
  • Bibliographic research through the Luiss discovery and other online catalogs
  • Bibliographic research on periodicals: traditional and electronic tools
  • Law research: how to find documentation with the electronic resources
  • Community law research: the European Union portal EUR-Lex
  • Financial analysis, historical series and macroeconomic data: what can be found with databases?
  • Right to free access on the web: what and how
  • Economics and statistics, and free access on the web: what and how

Each session lasts an hour and half, and provides both theoretical and practical training.

Such courses can be planned for classes of at least 5 users and are held by the Library in its premises. 

On demand courses:

Responding to specific requests, the Library provides special trainings on specific databases or reaserch needs.
