The Library collections are searchable through the Luiss Discovery, including off-campus access. Once you have found the title, note its location and pick up the item from the shelves, or click on the resource to access the full text when available.

Most items are available for borrowing, except for Course Reserves, Reference Works, and Periodicals. Before requesting a book, please use the online Discovery to check its availability, call number, and circulation policy. To locate the item, click on the map to see its position on the shelf. You can ask the librarian for assistance or pick up the book directly from the shelf and use the self-checkout stations.

Four self-checkout stations are available in the Library at:

Borrowing:

  • Select Borrow items
  • Scan your Luiss badge or enter your fiscal number
  • Enter your PIN (to generate or change your PIN, access the My Account section in the Luiss Library Discovery)
  • Place the book on the white base and wait for it to be registered
  • Once the process is complete, a loan notification will be sent to your Luiss email address

Returning:

  • Select Return items
  • Place the book on the white base and wait for it to be registered
  • Leave the book on the trolley next to the self-checkout station

Visit the Journal Search to find information about periodicals and journals. Check the location and the available issues for picking up from the shelves, or access the online version when available. To find your way, click on the map to see where the item is located on the shelf.

Self-service scanners are available in the Library for digital reproduction.
